Travelers in India are experiencing the biggest travel restrictions in decades.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to address the nation Friday, where he will announce a sweeping economic package that would include a plan to overhaul the countrys healthcare system.
He will also be expected to address a national assembly session and announce the end of a ban on the manufacture, import and sale of foreign currency and foreign goods.
The Indian government has been trying to restore confidence in the country as the economic reforms are being implemented.
It has imposed restrictions on foreign investment in the past.
The economy is expected to shrink in the first half of the year, the International Monetary Fund said in a report.
It forecast that growth in India would slow to about 0.4 per cent in the fourth quarter of 2018.
